Carlos Herdeiro, Gr@v member and founder, took office on 1 October as the new Scientific Coordinator of CIDMA, beginning a four-year term. The new coordination team also includes Natália da Costa Martins, Maria Elisa Carrancho Fernandes, and Nelson Filipe Loureiro Vieira. UA News coverage here. "The extreme gravity of astrophysical compact objects", a workshop integrated in the NewFunFiCO network took place in Frankfurt in June 2026. A great atmosphere, a variety of interesting science and lively discussions made a great event. The photo was taken in the rooftop of the venue, the historical building where the Stern-Gerlach experiment was conducted in 1922.

Gr@v is hosting the visits of Yasha Shnir, long time group collaborator, under an FCT mobility grant, and Mario Luciano Navarro, Ph.D. student from Valencia in the spring 2026. In the photo Yasha and Mario enjoy a bit of sunshine after the weekly group lunch.
